Leadership
Camp Leslie 4-H
Overnight Camp Counselor (11,12) –
I ran activities from dinosaur fossils to archery while organizing programming for my theme week which involved making daytime and evening activities from scratch. I had my own cabin of 7-10 year olds and learned how to effectively listen and make them feel important and gain a sense of independence along the way.
National Art Honor Society Officer (11,12) –
From collages to watercolor landscapes, our club provided materials and instruction to various elementary afterschool programs. I started a mural collaboration with the Global Arts Club distributing references and materials and displaying the project in the school.
Math Team Co-Captain (11,12) –
I mentored underclassmen on concepts like trigonometry and sequences while improving collaboration through games and practice problems. I wrote and delivered a speech on the club’s behalf for our school’s Small Town Hero Awards sponsoring a community member who exemplified our values.
